| In July 1969, Roy F. Bergengren,
a grandson of the founder of the credit union movement
in the United States, along with nine other college
employees, met to start the Daytona Beach Junior College
(DBJC) Federal Credit Union to serve employees and
family members of the institution. Roy was a professor
at DBJC and the Credit Union's first president - a
position he kept for five years.
Today, our philosophy of serving the employees and
students of Daytona State College is the
foundation of our mission. Your Credit Union is here
for you, servicing the entire DSC community and only
this community.
We are very grateful for the support of past and
current presidents and board members of the College.
We could not have survived without this. Today, as
in the past, the Credit Union strives to meet the
financial needs of all College employees. We encourage
each of our members to be active and to take advantage
of all our services.
We have a distinct social purpose, which is to do
all in our power to make your financial needs cost
effective and convenient. We are proud to be of service
to the employees of DSC and thank each of you for
your interest and our success. |
